In honor of the event, I've agreed to take on the project of making souvenir mugs. They are approximately 4 1/4" tall and 3" in diameter, holding about 11 ounces. Made of stoneware clay, they are dishwasher and microwave safe, lead free.

Paonia Cherry Days 2014

My own home town celebrates the 4th of July with the three day
CHERRY DAYS FESTIVAL!
To negotiate this blog and see different kinds of pottery, check out the Table of Contents
We will have our display of pottery and a selection of Peruvian textiles in Paonia Town Park on Friday the 4th and Saturday July 5th, from 10am until 6pm each day. Our booth is located on the north end of the line of vendors that line the east side of the park.

Because this is our home show, we take the opportunity to sell "seconds" pottery--those that came out of the kiln with glaze flaws, or experimental work that doesn't quite fit into our usual product line. You will find some bargains if you come early!

On Friday the Parade starts downtown at 10am, leading the crowd to Paonia Town Park and all kinds of music and entertainment, including pie eating and coal shoveling contests, a running race, rides and a kid zone--plus a community talent show at 12:30 on Saturday when you can catch me performing my original poetry. Find the schedule and information at this Cherry Days link.

See you at the Fair!
